CT: It is not always easy to distinguish between research and development or demonstration system and product in the area of Machine Translation (MT) however, it is useful to distinguish between fully automatic machine translation, human-assisted machine translation and machine-assisted human translation all of which fall within the purview of MT. In this article the focus is exclusively on the first of these, fully automatic machine translation.
