CT: The flow around a wind turbine is a set of forces applied by the wind on the blades defined by the most significant parameters from a dimensional analysis detailing the power of wind turbine. This later is criss- crossed by changes of turbulent intensity unlike the Reynolds number (essential parameter and not unique for the transition to turbulent flow). Thus the performance of the wind turbine depends on the specific speed that allows to get the most power coefficient by controlling the speed. So it’s studying the aerodynamics of the wind turbine side in a controlled environment without any uncertainties due atmospheric phenomena. The equations of fluid mechanics (Navier-Stokes) allow the aerodynamic analysis of any flow that satisfy the minimum conditions around a wind turbine as well as factors related to the lift and drag airfoil describing geometry of the blade to the same profile as a function of the Reynolds number and the angle of attack formed between the relative flow and the chord of the blade section.

N: 1. specific (adj): 1630s, “having a special quality,” from French spécifique and directly from Late Latin specificus “constituting a kind or sort” (in Medieval Latin “specific, particular”), from Latin species “kind, sort”. Earlier form was specifical (early 15c.). Meaning “definite, precise” first recorded 1740. Related: Specifically; specificness.
speed (n): Meaning “rapidity of movement, quickness, swiftness” emerged in late Old English (at first usually adverbially, in dative plural, as in spedum feran). Meaning “rate of motion or progress” (whether fast or slow) is from c.1200. Meaning “gear of a machine” is attested from 1866.
2. The wind speed at which the turbine is producing its nameplate-rated power production. For most small wind turbines this is around 30 to 35 miles per hour.
