CT: Modern high-end mobile phones combine the functionality of a pocket-sized communication device with PC-like capabilities, resulting in what are generally referred to as smartphones. These integrate such diverse functionality as voice communication, audio and video playback, web browsing, short-message and email communication, media downloads, gaming and more. The rich functionality increases the pressure on battery lifetime, and deepens the need for effective energy management.

2. A smartphone is a mobile phone that includes advanced functionality beyond making phone calls and sending text messages. Most smartphones have the capability to display photos, play videos, check and send e-mail, and surf the Web.
3. The smartphone’s first distinguishing feature from other mobile phones is its mobile operating system (OS), such as Android and iOS. Along with the OS, a smartphone typically has high-speed Internet access and a built-in browser for displaying Web pages. On a smartphone, the Web is accessed by 4G or 3G data networks, Wi-Fi support, mobile broadband, NFC or Bluetooth.
It also functions as a portable digital media player for making and playing music playlists and uploading photos and videos on a single interface.
4. Although there are lots of advantages we can also find some issues when using smartphones. One of the most common phenomenon is screen addiction that has a negative pychological impact. Also, there’s nomophonia where the person is afraid of being out of mobile or cell phone contact.
5. Cultural Interrelation: It may be worth mentioning the 2019 romantic comedy film Jexi where a self-aware smartphone with a female-voiced virtual assistant becomes emotionally attached to its owner.
